Man, DCB has the lights on for us, and we’re all on the visiting team.

Listen to No One Loves The Visiting Team by Night Reports.

I sent the post about YBE coming to Salt Lake City, but didn’t know where to send my contact info. Hopefully this gets to who it needs to, because I would still love to lend my help in bringing this film to Utah.

You Belong Everywhere - Free Screening

Join the You Belong Everywhere Mailing List for an invitation to a free online screening of YBE this weekend!

It would be great and i would absolutely love it if I were given an opportunity to host or have a screening at my school North High School. I personally love poetry and write my very own and feel it’s an amazing outlet to emotions, thoughts, and inspiring new ideas but unfortunately i feel as if my peers don’t feel the same way. Although a few months ago my school did it’s first poetry recitals and suprisingly everyone got really into it and did very well but after it ended, like all things, it sort of faded away. I feel this event will give that spark that will inspire students and teenagers to get involved in the poetry movement and community. If given the opportunity this will be a great event that will completely change perceptions on poetry for the students of my school.

You Belong Everywhere: Portrait of a Living Poet is a rock-n-roll poetry concert film featuring American poet Derrick C. Brown during a career-defining European tour opening for Cold War Kids. He battles loud audiences with humor, song, romance and a uniquely weird way with words - whatever it takes to get them to listen.

Available in NTSC only.

What is this? When is it out? When can I have it in my eyes? Awesome. Derrick is an absolute hero.

Brendan’s review of our You Belong Everywhere screening at Echo Park Film Center last night. He introduced the film, invoked the spirits of ancient spanish troubadours, dylan thomas and derrick c. brown. Brendan Constantine, phenom poet indeed.

You Belong Everywhere. Some questions answered. More questions raised. We’re screening tomorrow at Echo Park Film Center, 8 pm. Brendan Constantine will be there. hope to see you.

One time I found on a website that the Derrick Brown event I want to go to this weekend is 21 and over. I am the saddest.

We need you in Salt Lake City!

There are a lot of great small independent theaters in and around Salt Lake City and I would love to help bring You Belong Everywhere to one of them. A few that come to mind specifically:

Broadway Center Cinemas (two theatres w/ 306 and 274 seats respectively)

Tower Theatre (349 seats)

Rose Wagner Theater (495 seats)

Salt Lake Public Library (300 seats)

The State Room (300 seats)

There are also a handful of plausible venues on campus at the University of Utah (where I am a student) and Salt Lake Community College.

I hope to hear from you soon!

Who sent this?? Tumblr published it as if from YBE and isn’t showing the sender any longer!…but I’d like to contact them.
